My daughter took me to the White Mountains on a frigid day. I saw this in a flash as we drove by, and I had her pull over and park the car while I walked back to take a few photos. It was freeeeezing, and very windy, but I was determined to capture something of the beauty I saw.
My hands were shaking, and this was a rather slow exposure for hand-held, so it wasn't as sharp as I would have liked. I applied some sharpening and an artistic filter to make it better. I like that it has kind of a spooky effect, like ghosts in the trees - an eerie beauty.
Being a native of New Orleans gave me an appreciation of architectural detail, nature that was a bit on the wild side, and a fun and carefree life. Although I have lived in and traveled to many other places, New Orleans is always with me in everything I do. Follow me on: Facebook Twitter Pinterest
