I saw a squirrel munching on a chicken nugget. He was hanging on a tree trunk by his back feet, upside-down, staring at me like I might try to snatch it. Little did he know I'm vegan and wouldn't have dreamed of capturing anything but his adorable photo! Taken at Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park in Homosassa, Florida.
Being a native of New Orleans gave me an appreciation of architectural detail, nature that was a bit on the wild side, and a fun and carefree life. Although I have lived in and traveled to many other places, New Orleans is always with me in everything I do. Follow me on: Facebook Twitter Pinterest

Great capture and funny story! One time, we caught a squirrel eating an ice cream cone someone had thrown out.
Randi Kuhne replied:
Thanks, and thanks! The squirrel with the ice cream cone sounds hilarious.

Randi, I like how you see the world. I enjoy the animal antics of squirrels and all woodland creatures... whoops make that ALL CREATURES... (great and small) hehe.. I love how this squirrels just hands upside down by his legs.. If we had no TV or computers, these squirrels would be "THEE" entertainment... hehe.. thanks for your features and comments and votes, and likes, and all those keys you can click in promoting my photos as well.. Take Care Randi! Hope you are feeling better these days? LF3
Randi Kuhne replied:
Thanks, Kym. Animals can be so amusing. The way he's leaning on his elbows reminds me of a 50s/60s teenager lying on the bed chatting on the phone! (Feeling better these days? You have me stumped there...or maybe I'm having a senior moment!)
